"I was pulled in many directions by kids/family and career, that I often felt overwhelmed and could not accomplish anything. With Unstuck, I went from setting unattainable goals to accomplishing small, realistic projects. I stopped letting little life emergencies distract me from meeting these goals. When I made a commitment to a lovely group of strangers that I would do something by a certain date, it lit a fire under me. I had always thrived under deadlines in academia and work, but no one ever gave me a deadline for my personal life.
Lauren and Cindy asked me to dig deeper than organizing my belongings. I realized that my whole life could benefit from being more intentional. It sparked a year of change, which I desperately needed coming out of quarantining, remote learning for my kids, and a Covid-related layoff. It let me shake off the Covid cobwebs, give more energy to people I love and less to those who weigh me down, lose weight by paying more attention to my eating and exercise habits, refresh my personal image and boost my self-esteem, organize my kid’s schedules and teach them to organize themselves, and start my own business. I was inspired by the remarkable people in our community to launch MILO, our own local online lifestyle magazine for Milford, Orange, Woodbridge and Bethany. And who are among MILO’s first contributors? Lauren Hass and Cynthia Shrank Kane, or course.
I spent so many years mastering calculus, and have never used it outside of the classroom. Why, oh, why was I never taught how to organize my life? This is it! But this is not a seminar—it is a community of people cheering each other on and lifting one another up. Lauren and Cindy made something really special. I can only imagine the number of lives that are improving as our positive habits, outlooks and actions ripple through our families, workplaces, communities and beyond."

I'm thrilled I signed up for Unstuck! It was just what I needed to start "getting out of my own way." Conversations were interesting, relevant, and helpful. As each participant pinpointed their areas to focus on, we all got the attention and support needed to help us progress.
